Merging XML Documentation Comments

Your Visual Studio C# compiler can produce XML Documentation Comments. LumiCode can read these documents and merge them into your class reports. This powerful feature lets you produce documents that would be difficult to achieve any other way.

A complete description of how to use the XML Documentation Comments feature can be found in the Visual Studio documentation. We will now see how to merge the resulting comment files into your reports.

Adding comment files

Under the Project menu, click Comment Files. You will see the Comment Files dialog box.

Click the Add button and navigate to the folder where your XML comment files are located (this is set in your Visual Studio Project). Select the files you want to be merged, and then click Open. Click OK to close the dialog box.
